What to expect from our work together

My role as a therapist is to provide you with the support and tools you need to create a safe and loving relationship within yourself.

The therapy relationship is a chance for you to feel understood, listened to, and validated. My role is to help you shoulder your burdens so that you don’t have to bear them alone.

I utilize a holistic approach to therapy, meaning we will reflect on every aspect of your life; keeping track of your physical health, mental health, and relationships. One of the core approaches of my practice is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which looks at the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

I firmly believe that we can only take our clients as far as we’ve been able to take ourselves. As someone who has also been in therapy, I know clients want a therapist who jokes, uses humor, and is just human. No blank slates found here.


Built into my education and therapy expertise are all the things that have made me…me.

I was raised by a single parent and have spent years healing from an emotionally abusive relationship (or lack there of) with my birth mother.

I am a retired people pleaser.

I believe in boundaries. Firm ones. Resilient ones.

I am a mother of two, remembering to notice the joy and silliness found in the cracks of my day.

And now, here, I'm passionate about holding your hand as you embark on a healing journey of your own.
