Teen Therapy

I support teens and the families who love them. As a mother myself, I know it can be challenging to distinguish between typical behavior and signs that may require additional support.

Your teen may benefit from therapy if they are experiencing:

  • Emotional Turmoil: Noticeable changes in mood that impact their daily functioning and well-being.

  • Behavioral Changes: Difficulties with behavior at home or school, including defiance, withdrawal, or risk-taking actions.

  • Trauma and Loss: Coping with the impact of traumatic experiences, significant losses, or complex transitions.

  • Social Concerns: Trouble in relationships with peers, communication, and developmental social skills.

  • Family Dynamics: Adjustments to family changes or conflicts that affect emotional stability.

Trust me, I speak teen!

Your teen will be provided with a supportive and non-judgmental environment where they can freely explore their thoughts and feelings. Sessions are designed to be engaging and relevant to their developmental stage, ensuring that therapeutic techniques resonate with their unique experiences.

Respecting your teen’s privacy while still involving you is of the highest importance. I work closely with each of my families to provide support, share insights, and collaborate on strategies that could be implemented at home. I highly encourage family sessions, or partial family sessions, to ensure we are all on the same page and that you are never left in the dark.
